Opens with a gentle, bamboo-like rhythmic pulse and soft mallet arpeggios that feel like birds emerging from rushes. It establishes a lush, flowing atmosphere and introduces harmonic surprises that feel both alive and calming.
Hiroshi Yoshimura’s 1986 album Green is a masterpiece of Japanese ambient music, blending natural soundscapes with minimal electronic textures to create an atmosphere of tranquility and contemplation.
I have created animations for each of the songs, visually interpreting the serene, organic flow of Yoshimura’s compositions. Each animation aims to capture the meditative essence of Green, translating its sounds into movement and form.

Continues the organic flow with soft, undulating textures. The extra “ee” in the title resonates with the album’s theme: a phonetic play that emphasizes mood over literal meaning. Feels tactile and introspective, inviting introspection.
Gentle, repetitive motifs meander softly—reminiscent of grazing sheep, pastoral and serene. Simple textures build an immersive, almost visual ambiance.
One of the album’s quietest moments. It drifts slowly, almost hypnotically. This midpoint anchors the mood with its hush and sustained calm, echoing Yoshimura’s earlier “Music for Nine Post Cards”.

A variation on a theme shared with "STREET"—nostalgic and rhythmic, described as "a nostalgic cookie my mom would make in the summer" by a fan reviewer. Evokes familiar, comforting movements.
Another thematic cousin to “FEET,” with overlapping melodic material. Musically, it suggests wandering, strolling through gentle urban or pastoral scenes, reflective and serene
Ends the album on a playful note. This track has a subtle sense of humor, perhaps hinting at electronic media’s role in modern life. Glossy and charming, it wraps up the album with a gentle fade.
